High Cholesterol

If you are between the age of 18 and 85, and have been diagnosed with high cholesterol, you may be eligible to enroll in a clinical research study evaluating an investigational medication for high cholesterol.Other criteria apply. The study lasts up to 32 weeks. During the study, participants will receive study medication and all study related care at no cost, as well as compensation for their time and travel. You do not need to be a patient of our office to participate.

Type II Diabetes & Heart Disease (Exscel)

If you are 18 yrs or older, and have both type II diabetes and heart disease, you may be qualified to enroll in a research study. Other criteria apply. The study will last for up to 7 years. Participants will receive either study medication or placebo, lab testing, study medication and all study related care at no cost. Financial compensation is also available for travel costs to our office. You need not be a patient of our office to participate.

Type II Diabetes & Heart Disease (Tecos)

If you are 50 yrs or older, and have a history of both type II diabetes and heart disease, you may be qualified to enroll in a research study evaluating cardiovascular outcomes in patients treated with an approved diabetes medication . Other criteria apply. The study will last for up to 7 years. Participants will receive either study medication or placebo, lab testing, study medication and all study related care at no cost. Financial compensation is also available for travel costs to our office. You need not be a patient of our office to participate.

Hypertension & Type II Diabetes(BMS)

If you are between the age of 18 and 89, and have diabetes and inadequately controlled high blood pressure, you may be eligible to enroll in a research study evaluating an investigational medication for the treatment of both diabetes and elevated blood pressure. Other criteria apply. The study will last up to 20 weeks. Qualified participants will receive study related care, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, laboratory testing, and study medication at no cost. There is also compensation for time and travel for those who qualify for the study. You need not be a patient of our office to participate.

Type II Diabetes & High Risk For Cardiovascular Disease (CAROLINA)

If you have type II diabetes and have a high risk for cardiovascular disease, keeping your blood sugar in control is important. If your blood sugars are still not controlled on your current oral medications, you may qualify for a research study in our office using an investigational medication. Participants of this study must be between 40 and 85 years of age and qualify for participation evaluating other study-related criteria. The study could last for up to 7 3/4 years. You will receive lab testing, study medication and all study related care at no cost. Financial reimbursement may also be available for travel costs to our office. You need not be a patient of our office to participate.

COPD

If you or a loved one has or thinks you may have emphysema, chronic bronchitis or Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, also known as COPD, we invite you to learn more about a clinical research study taking place in your area. This research study is testing an investigational drug for reducing lung and heart complications in people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, also known as COPD.

You may qualify for this study if you have a diagnosis of moderate COPD (sometimes called emphysema or chronic bronchitis), have a history or risk of heart disease, are 40 to 80 years of age and are a former or current cigarette smoker.

Other requirements must be met prior to study participation. Study participants will receive study drug and study-related medical care at no cost. Reimbursement for time and travel may be provided.

Asthma

Do you or your child have Asthma? Have you or your child’s symptoms been bad enough to see a doctor within the last year? If so, and you or your child are over the age of 12, you may be eligible to enroll in a clinical research study evaluating an investigational medication for asthma. Other criteria apply. The study lasts up to 6 months. During the study, qualified participants will review study medication and all study related care at no cost, as well as compensation for their time and travel. You do not need to be a patient of our office to participate.

COPD

The Respire study is a 12 month clinical rail on a FDA approved drug for COPD patients. You may qualify to participate if you are over the age of 40, a current or former smoker and diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) COPD. Other criteria also apply.

Participants may receive Performomist Inhalation Solution or placebo, 1 year of study related care and monitoring from our study staff, and up to $800 compensation for time and travel for completed study visits.

Lyme Disease

We are currently conducting a study for patients experiencing the symptoms of LYME DISEASE. You are eligible for this study if you:

Are male or female and at least 18 years of age with exposure to highly-dense tick environments. Have Lyme-related symptoms: fever or chills, headache, fatigue, flu-like body aches, stiff or sore neck, bull’s-eye rash or if you have not been treated with antibiotics in the past 6 weeks since the onset of your symptoms. Participants will have blood samples collected as part of the study. Financial compensation is available for travel costs to our office. You need not be a patient of our office to participate.
