Robert O. Detweiler, D.O.
Dr. Robert Detweiler is one of the founding physicians of Detweiler Family Medicine. He completed his residency at Suburban General Hospital & is board certified in Family Medicine. Dr. Detweiler is on staff at Abington Health Lansdale Hospital, Abington Memorial Hospital, Grandview Hospital, & Mercy Suburban Hospital. He has served as chairman of the Department of Family Medicine at Abington Health Lansdale Hospital for two terms. Dr. Detweiler is a Medical Director for two area nursing homes & one area hospice organization.

He is an Aviation Medical Examiner performing medical examinations for commercial & private pilots. Dr. Detweiler is trained in aesthetic medicine which offers numerous innovative cosmetic procedures. He is an active member of the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association, the Pennsylvania Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Medical Association, & the American Medical Association. He has also served as a delegate to the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association. Dr. Detweiler has been married for over eighteen years & has three teenage sons. When not working, Dr. Detweiler enjoys traveling, scuba diving, skiing, tennis, & golf.

Michael T. Parke, D.O.
Dr. Michael Parke was born and raised in the North Penn area, having graduated from North Penn High School and Penn State University. He worked for several years in research at Merck & Co. before attending medical school in Miami Florida. After completing his family medicine residency with the St. Luke’s Hospital system, he practiced medicine for several years as a family physician with the United States Air Force, at Macdill AFB in Tampa Florida.

In 2006, he returned to the North Penn area to practice medicine. In addition to his daily hours at DFM, he serves as Medical Director at St Mary Manor in Lansdale, and cares for patients at several local nursing homes. Dr. Parke is highly skilled in caring for patients of all ages from newborn to the elderly. His compassion for medicine and outstanding bedside manner are quickly evident, as many have proclaimed after their first visit. He is an active member in several local, state and national medical societies. In his personal time, Dr Parke enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, golfing, and running.

Stephanie D. Shearer, D.O.
Dr. Stephanie Shearer is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia PA where she earned a Bachelor of Science in biology. Dr Shearer became interested in medicine as a result of her own childhood asthma; spurred by this experience, she went on to receive her doctorate from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, completing her internship and residency in Family Medicine at St. Luke’s Hospital in Allentown PA.

Dr Shearer joined Detweiler Family Medicine in 2006 as a full time Family Physician.

Dr. Shearer is also involved in Clinical Research at her office in Lansdale, serving as an Investigator for studies that offer their patients new and innovative treatments and foster the future of medicine.

She is board certified with the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. She is married and a mother of two who enjoys spending time with her young family, traveling and running marathons.

Evan J. Kessler, D.O.
Dr. Evan Kessler is the newest physician at Detweiler Family Medicine. He is a 1985 graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Since his Internship at the Parkview Division of Metropolitan Hospital in Philadelphia and his Residency at Temple University Hospital, Dr Kessler has been practicing Family Medicine at several offices in the local suburban area. Dr. Kessler is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association. Dr. Kessler is married and has three children. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family and traveling. He is also interested in computers and the evolving use of electronic medical records in health care.

Ephraim Dunn, D.O.
Dr. Ephraim Dunn grew up in the Rocky Mountains and came out to Pennsylvania for medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his training in South Jersey where he had the opportunity to work with the poorest communities in New Jersey. He is skilled in multiple hospital and in office procedures such as knee and shoulder joint injections, dermal cryosurgery and dermal biopsy. Dr. Dunn has cultivated a love of family medicine and thoroughly enjoys the patient-physician relationship with focus on patient centered medicine, a caring bedside manner and enthusiasm for the health and wellness of his patients

In his personal time, Dr. Dunn loves spending time with his family and is the father of two girls. He volunteers as member of the Sandy Run Middle School Wellness Committee, focusing on providing a school environment that promotes student wellness, proper nutrition, nutrition education, health education and regular physical activity. He enjoys a wide variety of activities, among his favorites are photography, rock climbing, skiing, soccer, cooking, theater and traveling.

Su Jung Kim, MD
Dr. Su Jung Kim completed her Internal Medicine residency at Flushing Hospital Medical Center in New York. After her residency, she went on to complete her fellowship locally in Geriatric Medicine at Abington Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Kim has compassion for the geriatric population, and currently provides cares exclusively to those who reside within retirement communities, independent and assisted living facilities and skilled nursing centers. She recognizes the unique medical needs of the geriatric population and is competent in providing unique and customized care and facilitating multidisciplinary team work.

Dr. Kim is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. She is a member of American College of Physicians and the American Geriatric Society.

Dr. Kim is married and has children. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, serving at her church, traveling, camping and playing piano.

Christine M. Sabatino, MSN, CRNP, ANP-BC, GNP-BC
Christine Sabatino has been a Nurse Practitioner at Detweiler Family Medicine since October 2007. Christine completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2002 from the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing where she was a Hillman Family Foundation Scholar. She began her Nursing career as an Obstetric Staff Nurse at New York University Medical Center and an Oncology Nurse at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

In 2006, Christine returned to Philadelphia and completed her Master of Science in Nursing in 2007 at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, earning both the John A. Hartford Master’s Scholar honor and the Dean’s Award. She is board certified in Adult Health and Gerontology. She is an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, the Gerontological Society of America, and the National Conference for Gerontological Nurse Practitioners. Christine enjoys the opportunity to care for patients and families in the office setting, as well as in nursing home facilities.

Robert R. Davis, CRNP, DC
Bob Davis began his professional education in Health Sciences at West Chester University. After graduation, he went on to earn a Chiropractic Degree and in 1987 he opened a solo practice in the Hatboro-Horsham area where he practiced for several years. Bob went on to become a Nurse Practitioner after completing a highly accelerated undergraduate degree at Villanova University and a Graduate degree at Gwynedd Mercy College. More recently he completed postgraduate training at the University of Massachusetts. He enjoys working in the family medical arena, and prides himself on his excellent listening skills and his ability to develop realistic treatment plans that meet individual patient needs and goals. When not working in the office, he enjoys reading, athletics, and spending time with friends and family.

Wendy L. Brian, CRNP, MSN
Wendy Brian joined the team at Detweiler Family Medicine in July 2011. Wendy’s career and background is diverse. She received her first Bachelor of Science in Consumer and Community Services from Michigan State University in 1981. She went on to achieve a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin in 1984. Throughout her 25+ years as a nurse, Wendy has worked in various roles in and out of the hospital.

Wendy received her Master’s of Science in Nursing at The University of Pennsylvania and since 1994 has been a Nurse Practitioner. Wendy continued with her education to also receive a Post master’s Certificate from LaSalle University, where she is adjunct faculty. She holds current certifications in Adult and Women’s Health. She is an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and was inducted into the Who’s Who in American Nursing in 1993. Wendy was also a founding member of the ChesMont Nurse Practitioners organization. Wendy is married with 2 grown children, and her interests include spending time with family, her church, and her volunteer work that has taken her to three continents.

Michelle Sibel, MSN, CRNP, FNP-BC

Michelle Sibel is the newest Nurse Practitioner to join Detweiler Family Medicine. Michelle completed her Bachelors and Masters of Science in Nursing at Villanova University where she was inducted in to Phi Kappa Phi. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from East Stroudsburg University. She is an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Pennsylvania Coalition for Nurse Practitioners. She has practiced and volunteered in a variety of settings and has found family practice the most rewarding.

Michelle is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and enjoys caring for patients of all ages.

Jennifer Faikish, CRNP

Jennifer Faikish, CRNP received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Duquesne University and Nurse Practitioner Master’s degree from La Salle University in Adult and Gerontology Primary Care. She has nine years of experience working as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit at two local hospitals . She is a member of the Pennsylvania Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Gerontology Advanced Practice Nurses Association. She is passionate about educating her patients and empowering them to take control of their own health. She resides locally in the Lansdale area with her husband and three children.

Kate Santoro , CRNP

Kate Santoro is the newest Nurse Practitioner to join Detweiler Family Medicine. Kate completed her Bachelors and Masters of Science in Nursing from Villanova University, and also holds a Bachelor degree in Biological Sciences from Drexel University. While at Villanova, Kate was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, and is currently an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Society, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and the Pennsylvania Coalition of Nurse Practitioners. Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Kate worked for several years as a research assistant at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia studying childhood cancer, and went on to become a nurse in the field of Oncology & Hematology. Working with patients of varying ages helped Kate decide to become a Family Nurse Practitioner, and she enjoys caring for patients across the lifespan.

In her personal time, Kate enjoys spending time with her son, traveling, baking, and participating in Spartan and Tough Mudder races.

Julie Lassig, CRNP
Julie Lassig began her professional education at the University of Minnesota earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Wellness. She worked as an ACSM certified personal trainer in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota for over 20 years helping clients achieve their health and fitness goals with nutrition and physical activity coaching. After moving to Pennsylvania, Julie earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and then a Masters of Science in Nursing degree at Villanova University. While at Villanova, she was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society and Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honors Society.  Julie is an ANCC board Certified Nurse Practitioner in Family Medicine and is committed to helping patients of all ages achieve optimal health by implementing healthy lifestyle habits.  Julie is an active member of the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Jill Basile, Licensed Medical Aesthetician

Jill Basile is a Licensed Medical Aesthetician with seventeen years of experience in skin care and appearance enhancement. Jill began her career as a medical aesthetician in 1996 by working in dermatology practices, and has recently rejoined our team in October 2013. She has completed extensive training in the use and application of laser technology and aesthetic services.

Jill is skilled in various lasers for unwanted hair, pigmentation, sun damaged skin, melasma, unwanted facial redness or facial vessels, rosacea, unwanted leg veins, microdermabrasion procedures, glycolic peels, custom facials and electrolysis. Trained in skin care and skin care product selection, Jill is ideally suited to help you obtain and maintain beautiful skin. Her experience and knowledge of laser technology, aesthetic services and skin care have resulted in unsurpassed client satisfaction and loyalty.

Jill is very passionate about her chosen career. She has a great deal of compassion for her patients and their diagnoses. Because her experience with lasers and knowledge of dermatology is unique, she is an exceptional resource to her patients. Patient satisfaction is very rewarding to her and is the source of energy that drives her to accede her patient’s expectations.

Erika Ringwald, RD, LDN

Erika Ringwald is a Registered and Licensed Dietitian. Since graduating from West Chester University, she has gained extensive experience in the clinical setting as well as in counseling, helping people to make lifestyle changes as it pertains to eating patterns and choices. Erika focuses on bridging the gaps between nutrition information and making it work with an individual’s lifestyle.

She uses a very practical approach and works with individuals to make personalized plan of change. She has a strong affinity for helping people with diabetes, weight management, high cholesterol and GI conditions. Erika has her Certificate in Training for Weight Management, is a member of the Diabetes Care and Education practice group and The Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition practice group, both practice groups of the Academy of Nutrition. She is also a member of the American Association of Diabetes Educators. She is working on becoming a CDE (Certified Diabetes Educator).

In her spare time Erika loves to spend time with her 2 children as well as with friends and family. She enjoys exercising, cooking, hiking, kayaking and traveling.
